Most clients describe the sensation as mildly uncomfortable but tolerable. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to minimize any discomfort.
Microneedling treatments are typically recommended every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your skin type, concerns, and how your skin responds to treatment. For general skin rejuvenation, a series of 3 to 6 sessions is common. More advanced concerns like acne scarring or deep wrinkles may require additional sessions.
Once your desired results are achieved, maintenance treatments every 3 to 6 months can help keep your skin looking fresh and firm.
There is minimal downtime. You may experience redness, sensitivity, and mild swelling for 1–3 days after the treatment—similar to a light sunburn. Most clients return to normal activities within 24–48 hours.
Initial results can be seen within a few days, with continued improvements over several weeks as new collagen forms. Optimal results typically appear after a series of treatments.
